Learning Framework Development
The programs of the Melton Foundation are continuously developing and improving. Many times, the impulse for innovation comes directly from our Fellows - just like with this project.
Based on the initiative of Melton Fellows Julia Maier and Cristina Mardones, who surveyed participants of the Global Citizenship Conference 2014 about the current learning program, the team is developing a comprehensive learning framework to systematically support Melton Fellows as they grow their capacity to act as global citizens throughout their lives.
The framework builds on existing learning activities, embeds others that are also crucial to global citizenship education, and integrates them into a structure that
- provides guidance and support throughout the Fellowship
- facilitates experiential learning in diverse settings, and
- allows for organic growth of the Developing Global Citizens Program
Where possible, training modules and workshops build on each other, increasing in difficulty, complexity, and exposure, in a growing sphere of influence. This will help Melton Fellows to systematically develop their capacity to act as global citizens throughout their lives.
The Learning Framework Development is designed as collaborative process to ensure participation and alignment of our partner universities and key stake-holders of our community.
