Call for trainers: New Fellow Orientation 2016
This is a call to our Senior Fellows to be part of the NFO in Darmstadt, Germany from January 21st to the 25th 2016.
The New Fellow Orientation (NFO) brings together all New Fellows of the Melton Foundation to solidify the knowledge, competencies, and perspectives developed in the six-month online training, to get to know each other in person, and to build bonds of trust among the Fellows.
The NFO includes trainings[1] in the following areas:
- Intercultural Competence / Intercultural Communication
- Responsible Leadership
- Teambuilding / Teamwork
- Sustainable Project Development
- Impact Assessment
- Communications
- Fundraising
- Theories and practices of Global Citizenship
Furthermore, the Orientation is a space where Senior Fellows can share their journey as Global Citizens and help New Fellows understand the power of our network and the manifold ways in which the Melton Foundation can make a difference in peoples’ lives.
Skills and Experience Requirements
We are looking for Senior Fellows
- with experience as trainer or workshop facilitators who are knowledgeable in one or more of the above areas and can design and deliver a dynamic and interactive training in English, or
- who are willing to share their journey as global Citizens to inspire the new generation of Fellows.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
All Senior Fellows, who meet the above requirements and are available at the time of the NFO, can apply. The Melton Foundation covers all expenses in support of travel to Darmstadt (Germany), as well as lodging and meals for trainers during the NFO.
Here’s how to apply:
- Make sure your Fellows Profile is complete and up-to-date.
We will base our decision on the information provided in your basic profile, contact information, and professional information. - Send a letter of motivation together with
- For Senior Fellows who apply to lead a training in one of the above areas:
- A summary of your experience as trainer and/or workshop facilitator as well as your expertise in the respective training area
- A rough outline of the training you propose to implement at the NFO
- For Senior Fellows who apply to share their journey as global citizen:
- A summary of aspects of your life that you consider relevant for the context of the NFO and how these exemplify global citizenship in action and/or highlight the relevance of the MF in your personal / professional development
- For Senior Fellows who apply to lead a training in one of the above areas:
