Melton Share Sessions

A Platform to Amplify the Voices of Global Citizens

Global citizens are the world's problem solvers of tomorrow. At the Melton Foundation, we believe that the world today needs more people who are able to understand problems from multiple perspectives and who are able to lead by example as they take on global issues – beginning right in their local communities.

Through Melton Share Sessions, we provide a stage for individuals and organizations to openly tell their stories, share experiences and inspire with good practices from around the world. It's a format for Fellows, partner organizations and friends of the Melton Foundation to model global citizenship with a human human touch.

Description:
“We are the stories we tell ourselves,” says filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. By this, we understand that stories shape how we see ourselves, others, and the issues of our times. It’s now no secret that stories evoke powerful emotions, emotions which can be harnessed for awareness, understanding, and action.

In this Melton Share, we will discuss how to identify storytelling moments from our lives and work, the core elements of a story, and review a variety of formats in which stories are told -- from written narratives, to multimedia stories, and even Tweets. This webinar is designed for anyone interested in learning how to find and craft stories from their lives, projects, work sphere, and more. Equipped with the fundamentals of how to identify and craft the core elements of storytelling, you can tell a compelling tale!
