Unchaining Gender

Unchaining Gender started when three young adults from China, India and Germany started a conversation about how it did not make any sense that members of the LGBT community were mistreated in each of their countries. That conversation translated into Unchaining Gender, with the basic motto that LGBTQI and other suppressed gender minorities should be normalized, and feel the same sense of freedom and acceptance as heterosexual people do. They have employed 'Storytelling for Change' as our main tool to bring about this empowerment, and have thus far interviewed members of the LGBT community in India, China, Germany and Ghana. With some new members joining our team, they are excited to bring to the surface stories from the U.S and Chile too. The important thing to remember about the LGBT community according to us is that, 'They're normal, just not common.'
